SQM Research has found that income has a strong influence on real estate price growth; more so that population growth, over the long term.
Family income projections are compiled using a linear regression of what has occurred historically plus and an additional 2% pa added over on top through to 2026. This addition was based on SQM’s expectation of an elevated inflationary environment between 2022 to 2026.
The projections and actual data should not be relied upon in making investment decisions.
